Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!

Philippines commemorates its 112th year of freedom on June 12, 2010. The Philippine Declaration of Independence occurred on June 12, 1898 in Cavite II el Viejo (now Kawit), Cavite, Philippines. With the public reading of the Act of the Declaration of Independence, Filipino revolutionary forces under General Emilio Aguinaldo proclaimed the sovereignty and independence of the Philippine Islands from the colonial rule of Spain, which had been recently defeated at the Battle of Manila Bay during the Spanish-American War (Wikipedia). Every Filipino around the world celebrates the freedom in any and meaningful way. This is a momentous time for our country and to all the Filipinos because without that freedom we won't be experiencing the abundance of life. This liberty is our debt of gratitude to our heroes that  gamble their lives. Filipinos all around the world had their own way of celebrating  however in my little community  this is how we did ours... We decided to have it  in my friend's house and each family  should bring their own Filipino dishes like Adobo, kilawin, ginata-ang langka, pancit, lumpia, afritada, biko, cassava cake, and more of course a Filipino party won't be completed without the karaoke and dancing these are some of  Filipinos past time. So proud of being Pinoy!
