Call from Kyle's School

It was Kyle's 4th day of school when I got a call from his school informing me that he threw up. When I got informed I hurriedly took off from work and headed to his school. I knew that he's not sick when I dropped him off so it's either that he saw or smelled something that made him sick. Kyle has a history of threwing up back in his pre-school days. He'd threw up if he sees or smell peas or any kind of vegetables. He only eats corn. He tried though of eating vegetables but only up to his throat it will come back out. Anyway I told his teacher beforehand about his issues I made sure it was stated clearly. So when I got to his school his teacher told me that she tried to explain it to them at the lunch room but seems like they won't believe it. So I asked Kyle why he threw up? He said "coz there were green stuff on my plate and he smelled it". I knew it right away! So I went to the school's Nurse office and explained it to her. To make sure that he's not sick. The next day I packed him lunch and so far he was fine since then. Regarding Kyle's update he is doing terrific at school!!!

First Day in Kindergarten

A very memorable day as our son Kyle stepped on his first day of school in Kindergarten. A mixed of hesitations and fear of being away from him. Afraid that I'm not there when he needs me and not there to check on him if he's alright. All of those worries triggers in my mind. Early morning he got up right away and showered and got dressed without me telling him. He was really anxious to be at his school. When I dropped him off I was so skeptical of leaving him to somebody that I don't even know. But I got to leave too. He gave me a bug tight hug and waved goodbye to me. I said bye and walked away leaving him with new kids and new teacher. I stepped out while looking back and hoping he'll look at me but he didn't so it means he was occupied by then. As i drove on the way to work I was fine and relieve that there's no sadness from him and I didn't even cry. I am so proud of myself until I got to work. I can't help it but worry and tried to convinced to myself that I have to let him go. At work, I never leave my phone in my pocket for the very first time normally my phone will always be in my purse but not that time. But there's no call from his school so it means he is fine. Every single ticking of my watch I watched it and it seemed like it was a long day of waiting for me to pick him up.
Finally, it's time for me to leave! My feeling of excitement zoomed in and just waved bye to my colleagues and drive off. On the way to the car pool I dropped by at Publix because he wants cup cake. He told me that he will have a GREAT day and he specifically told me to buy it from Publix coz is the best maker of cup cakes. SO I did. Few minutes went bye I'm in line for car pool, I waited and waited but the line didn't move it's about a 2 miles line from school. I was really disappointed. I sat in my car for an hour and 10 minutes and finally got to see him. He was so excited when he saw my car. His GRIN was way up to his ears. I was so so so excited! I just want to hopped out and grab him so that he didn't have to wait on me. But rules always be rules. On the way home i asked him bunch of questions:

* How's your day?
"I have my starry eye!" It means he has a great day.

*What did you learn today?
"Our class rules and regulations?

*Did you ate your snacks that I packed for you?
"I shared it to my friends."

*Did you go to the gym?
"Yeah, but we just sat and listened to the rules.

*Did you take a nap?
"No, it's just rest unlike my pre-school."

*What did you eat for lunch?
"Macaroni and pizza, I didn't get the fruit coz I don't eat it."

*What's your favorite part at school?
"RECESS.... coz we don't talk about rules!"

Come on tell me more about it....

"Mom......... I already did!

Oops.... then I realized I have to stop.

It was such a great day to see him back in our arms.

In fact he wants to be back at school on Saturday. He doesn't like Saturday coz he can't come to school :)

That's about it!!! We are a proud parents!!!

Meet the Teacher!

Tomorrow is Kyle's last day in pre-school, his very beloved pre-school! It's more than words to express but it's a place that instilled values, love, joy and fun-learning adventures. It's a place you call home, surrounded with beautiful and loving teachers and such a nice environment for little ones. Kyle bonded so much to this school and really learned a lot. He made his own buddy that he really cares a lot his teachers and above all Ms. D., every day he'll come by to her office and showed his bear report. If he did have a great day he'll get a treat and will come tell her what he did for that day but if didn't have a great day he won't talk to her and pretended that he didn't know what he did. Ms. D had a great influence on Kyle in fact, he made his own office at home just like Ms. D has. He arranged it exactly like hers. He adored her so much.
It's definitely hard on me too since we're just next door to each other. But it's time for him to move on and to come to the reality that our baby is growing up. Yesterday was his "meet the teacher" night. We got there 20 minutes ealier but to our surprise the place was packed with vehicles. The parking area was hard to find. The school was pretty and tidy it's very inviting when you go in. When we approached to his room he was so excited when he saw his name hanging outside! His teacher really spent a lot of time preparing for that day. It was very organized and well explained rules adn regulations. His classroom's rules were vividly stated and we are just hoping that we are in the same page as the school progresses. He is so excited and can't wait to start. I will try not to think it too much. I promise to myself I won't cry. Thursday will be our BIG day. Over all we really impressed and can't wait to start his new page at Kidergartner!

Stressful Day

Wow in few more days Kyle will be in Kindergarten! He is so excited and we are too, kinda. I can't believe my baby will be in Kindergarten in few more days, it didn't seem that long since I had him. Anyway this week is free tax day so I anticipated it to be my good day of shopping for school supplies. First of all, I am looking forward of buying the school supplies but when I saw the list, it really surprised me! Everything were listed specifically including brand names. I'm really impressed because I don't have it back in my days. I remember my Mom always shop the highly needed supplies only. Oh well, so off to go for shopping and I thought I'll be done in two hours but nope! It took me awhile and get familiarize with these stuff and description. Wow it surely gave me a headache and I became frustrated. Frustrated because they don't have everything. I ended up going to the other store and ended finding just one item. That made me so mad! Mad to myself because I did not get the package at school. If I only knew it won't be a bother at all. But it's too late now I just have to find the rest to complete the list. So far I'm missing 4 items and I've been to three stores only so I am hoping that tomorrow I can find the rest. This is stressful day. On Monday will be the "meet the teacher" day and I am so anxious about it. So 'til then and that's about it.

Trip at the Beach

We definitely had an awesome trip to the beach. Kyle at first was so reluctant to get into the water. He's complaining that salt water gets into his eyes and nose and he did not like it at all! He insisted to go back to the lake because it's not salty hahaha. Kyle had been to the beach before but this time he's bigger enough to complain and whine about it. We kind a worried about it because all we wanted is for him to enjoy the beach. So we took him down to the water park and there he absolutely loved it. So the next day Mike and Janne came with us and Mike finally made Kyle oblivious about salt water! He absolutely enjoyed the digging the sand and picking up shell and above all finding- sand dollar!
He found pieces of sand dollar more than shell.I went into the water the first day we arrived but not for long because I am horrified about shark. I made sure I can see what's underneath me. Meanwhile my husband really had a great time walking on the shore while collecting shells and above all eating seafood he went into the water hoping he'd could find fish for all we know he is such a great fisherman but not in salt water though hehehe. The highlight of Kyle's trip at the beach was when he found the prettiest shell among everybody. He dove into the water when he spotted it not even minding the salt water. It's so much fun just watching him and hearing him about "sand dollar". At the end salt water didn't destruct him from liking the beach. But one thing we were glad about was Janne able to come with us and watched Kyle's moments. She is my dearest sis-n-law and Mike (bro-n-law) cooked us a delightful breakfast it was yummy. I can't wait to see them again. Anyway I took neumerous pictures but I can't attached through this computer so it'll be later. That's about it!

Not to Ruin the Fun

Above is Kyle collecting sand dollar...

It's around 4 am when I got up. I couldn't go back to sleep so I stayed up and use Janne's pc and do my blogging. I went to bed early last night- felt miserable. It is exactly right - have fun on your vacation time and that's what I did, I ate, and I ate but mostly junk foods. So I decided not to eat my supper since I ate way too many junks but by later last night I had a terrible bloating and terrible discomforts, feeling of throwing or what? I can't comprehend. I am so grateful my sis-n-law offered "Pepto-Bismol" after awhile I felt relieved and I didn't even noticed that I dozed off to sleep. We certainly have a great time In Florida and looking forward for another great time day with Janne and Mike today. Now my lesson learned from yesterday just eat right be portion wise!
